Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalSome truths are buried deep. Others are designed to be forgotten.
Riaan Malik never questioned who he was—until the day everything unraveled.
An abandoned facility. A face that shouldn't exist. A past that doesn't belong to him. As fragments of memory surface and shadows from a secret project close in, Riaan is forced to confront a terrifying possibility: What if his identity was never his own to begin with?
As lines blur between science and self, man and machine, memory and manipulation, Riaan is drawn into a race against time—one that could cost him not just his life, but his sense of what it means to be alive.
Project Indigo: 03-021 [X | Y] is a gripping psychological science fiction thriller that explores the haunting weight of identity, the dangers of control, and the fragile boundary between nature and nurture.

Riya Mattoos is a forensic science graduate, applied psychologist, and author who blends her love for science, psychology, and storytelling into powerful, thought-provoking fiction. Born and raised in the UAE, she holds a B.Sc. in Forensic Science and an M.Sc. in Applied Psychology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai, and completed her schooling at Emirates National School, Sharjah.
Her academic journey includes a research internship at the International Center of Forensic Sciences with Dubai Police, where she focused on identifying sex in the Emirati population through fingerprint ridge density. She has also published research exploring the relationship between music, personality, and risk-taking behavior in young adults.
Riya’s fiction is deeply inspired by her fascination with the human mind. Her debut novel, Cursed Bonds: A Fate Entwined, explored themes of friendship and resilience, followed by The Mask, a psychological exploration of trauma and identity. With Project Indigo: 03-021 [X | Y], she delves into biotech, memory, and the fragile boundary between what makes us human and what we’re told to be.
Outside of writing, Riya finds joy in drawing, music, and long, thoughtful conversations about life, mind, and meaning. She continues to live in the UAE, supported by a close-knit family and friends who encourage her to keep creating and keep questioning.
