A virus that broke out in Ancient Egypt comes back as an artifact uncovered. At first, the archeologists believe they have found a treasure and they try to fly this uncovered work of art to the U.S. However, the virus spreads fast and the plane crash lands in a desert.
Now, the United States going to retrieve the artifact from the desert, without any knowledge of the virus it harbors.
Amongst the people sent to retrieve the artifact are two young archeology students who are in love. They discover soon that there is something weird about the item, but nobody listens to them.
They escape, only to end up as test subjects as they have been exposed to the virus and have survived its attack.
Now they are caught up in a loophole of fight against their kind, who now see them as lab rats. The odds may be against them, but will they survive?
