Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalSurya, a rooster belonging to Sonu Devi who ekes out a living selling Desi Eggs to the town of Mainpuri. Surya greets every dawn with lusty crows that can be heard by all in the village (who don’t mind as also by the residents of the Spa (who do mind) adjoining the plot of land owned by Sonu Devi. The residents of the Spa, all rich managers and socialites, who have come to the Spa for a taste of the rural life, object to his crowing so early in the morning and complain to the spa manager to do something about it. The manager contacts his ‘consultant’ Gajjo, hired exclusively to deal with problems of the locals. What follows is a hilarious concatenation of events that can have only one ending.

Ivan Phillipowsky, a retired Colonel of the Indian Army. He studied in Bishop’s High School, Pune as a boarder 1958 to 1969. (2nd to 10th) His college education is up to 2nd year TDC BSc (N Wadia College, Pune and LBS College, Jaipur)He joined the army after graduating from OTA, Chennai in 1974, and served with pride in the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC).After serving for 26 years with unblemished service he took premature retirement in 1999.He now lives a retired life in Agra. This is his first literary attempt.
