Author Name: Musiri (Late) R Parthasarathy | Format: Paperback | Genre : BODY, MIND & SPIRIT | Other Details

The book, A Treasure Trove of Wisdom, written by Musiri R Parthasarathy, is a thoughtful collection of the rarest and the best stories and anecdotes from Indology, world literature and other religions.

Simplified stories based on complex philosophical abstractions like body, soul, super soul, Brahman, meditation, transmigration of the soul and ‘what happens to the soul after death?’ throw light into these riddles. The author has put his heart and soul to answer these knotty questions to global readers who might be curious about these topics.

Despite the author writing this manuscript many years ago, even at that time, he had the foresight of the power of visual storytelling, which is considered as the powerful communication mechanism in this era of social media. The book can be read in any order, from any chapter onward. The story is presented in such a way that the reader finds the key message of the book from any starting point.

Through the book, the author drives home the message that different faiths converge to common wisdom –the God Almighty is causeless and the only Supreme Being.

Musiri R. Parthasarathy was born in 1928 in a small village called Dalavaipettai in Tamilnadu, India. When he was an infant, he lost his mother. Though he had a challenging and humble beginning, he transformed himself into an erudite civil lawyer.

As part of his 35 years of a legal career and out of his interests in philosophy, he had been reading voraciously and writing extensively. During his lifetime he was extremely vocal about his views and had regularly contributed to the Letters to the Editor columns in popular newspapers. His readers had appreciated his ideas as bold, important and thought-provoking.

The book, A Treasure Trove of Wisdom, got completed before the final months of his death. Despite old age and partial vision, he had persevered to create this wonderful work.

He read works of great thinkers from across the globe and different religions. He was convinced that all religions preach to seek this one ultimate Truth, Supreme Being, and realize the God.

His book entails enlightening concepts like Dharma, Surrender, Bhakti, Knowledge, Brahman and Supreme Lord to be clearly communicated to the global audience.
