Akanksha Gupta, MD, FASCP, FCAP is a Hematopathologist and Surgical Pathologist in the United States. Being trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, USA, she has written many books so far and is the founder of Ace My Path.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Gupta took the initiative to start The WHO book club in March 2020. Over 1000 pathologists from all over the world have joined the book club and have been benefited from the group discussions during those sessions. The notes created during this book club resulted in Dr. Gupta's first book publication entitled "Ace the boards: Neoplastic Hematopathology." After the publication of the first book, Dr. Gupta and her team have worked tirelessly. Ace My Path (https://www.acemypath.com) has already published five books, a flow course, and a surgical pathology course, and per my knowledge, six more books will be released this year. These books are available for sale at very low prices; so that learners in underdeveloped nations can access them.
Another initiative by Dr. Gupta is to start the Ace My Path YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/acemypath ), which has garnered around 7000 views so far, with subscribers and views across 15 countries in a very short period. The Ace my path YouTube channel has various courses such as flow cytometry course and surgical pathology slide sessions that were conducted in collaboration with sub-specialty experts in the field of pathology from across the country to discuss slides. These sessions are interactive and are of great help to trainees to revise and consolidate the surgical pathology concepts which are utilized in daily practice.
Dr. Gupta's more exciting upcoming project is to create a Surgical Pathology boards book. This book will be an exciting collaboration between Path presenter Ace My Path, and Kurts notes; and will bring all resources for board preparation under one roof for the residents. In this book, under Dr. Guptas' leadership, a team of about 40 surgical pathologists, including attendings, fellows, and residents, will contribute to creating a resource that links to virtual pathology slides and videos explaining the virtual slides for boards purposes. In addition, this very high-yield book will have access to online content and videos on the side, and her vision is to provide everybody with an indispensable one-stop resource.
