Akanksha Gupta, MD, FASCP, is a Hematopathologist in Indiana, USA. She did a hematopathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She has completed a Renal Pathology fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She received numerous national and international awards and been recognized by international newspapers and online social media. Dr. Gupta has written multiple publications/abstracts in high indexed journals and presented many platform and poster presentations at national and international conferences. She was selected from among 20,000 to serve as a judge for the annual quality improvement fair at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Being a passionate teacher and learner, she has assembled more than 1,000 pathologists from around the world to start a Hemepath WHO Book Club. Dr. Nupur Sharma did her pathology residency in India from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, New Delhi, India. She is passionate about academics and has worked as an assistant professor in India. Currently, she is pursuing a pathology residency in North Carolina, USA. Dr. Sharma founded the WHO hemepath book club along with her mentor, Dr. Akanksha Gupta, and conducted online hematopathology sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also co-authored this book with her.
Dr.Sharma is the recipient of national awards and has guided pathology residents in academics and research. She will be specializing in hematopathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022.
