Dr. Ravikant Upasani, Dr. Sheela Barla

Dr. Ravikant R. Upasani was born on September 23, 1955, in Chunar District, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, India. His academic and professional journey is nothing short of impressive. He has made noteworthy contributions to the realms of teaching, research, and agricultural extension activities within the field of Agronomy. Furthermore, his active involvement in various ICAR projects is highly commendable. Dr. Upasani's substantial body of work comprises 85 research papers published in both national and international journals, as well as his dedicated guidance to M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of agricultural science and education.

Notably, Dr. Upasani's commitment to advancing agricultural research is exemplified through his participation in ICAR projects such as AICRP on Rapeseed Mustard and AICRP on Weed Research. His educational foundation, rooted in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, has undoubtedly served as a solid bedrock for his career in agronomy. It is essential to acknowledge and celebrate his unwavering dedication and valuable contributions to the agricultural domain, a sector that plays a pivotal role in addressing India's agricultural challenges and supporting its agricultural development.

Dr. Sheela Barla was born on January 5, 1971, in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Her early education was rooted in Ranchi, and she continued her academic journey by pursuing both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Agronomy at Birsa Agricultural University, also located in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Sheela Barla has held various pivotal roles within the university. In these roles, she actively engaged in research, teaching, and extension activities, contributing significantly to the field of agronomy. Furthermore, her dedication to education and mentorship is underscored by her guidance of approximately eight students through their M.Sc. degree programs, a testament to her commitment to nurturing the next generation of scholars. She was also associated with All India Coordinated Research on Weed Research; Millet and Rapeseed Mustard & currently associated with State plan of research, other research and extension activities of University.
