ISHWAR SINGH MEHLA, a graduate with Hons in Electronics & Communication Engineering from REC Kurukshetra, have Widely travelled within India & Overseas, presented papers in many national and international workshops & conferences, on Radio broadcasting, RF Hazards & Safety Measures, Common Transmission Infrastructure for Radio Broadcasting including a DRM-ABU-AIR showcase at New Delhi on Digital Radio Transmission technology. Starting his career in 1976 as lecturer in Haryana Polytechnic Nilokheri, then he as an IB(E)S officer of 1977 UPSC batch, w.e.f 1979 served Akashwani for 29 years in different positions, dealing with every aspect of Radio broadcast Engineering, executed many challenging projects; won many Akashwani Awards for best Technical Papers & System Design for multi frequency transmission technology. Before superannuation he worked at board level as Functional Director in a mini-Ratna Central Govt PSE, BECIL, engaged in consultancy & turnkey solutions for Radio & TV broadcasting.
Before this venture of writting non-fiction generic book on the social profile of the Ror community, author has published two technical referral books on The Radio Broadcast Engineering for Project Design & Management and on Hazards & safety ; titled, “AM Radio Tower Antennas” in 2018 & “Hazards and Safety Measures in Radio Stations", in 2020 .
