Dr Amitabh Kishor Dwivedi
Dr. Amitabh Dwivedi is a distinguished figure in the field of occupational therapy, serving as a Professor and Dean at the Faculty at JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research. He has been awarded with title of 'Fellow of the Academic Council of Occupational Therapy' for his significant contributions for the profession. Dr. Dwivedi is the Coordinator of the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Occupational Therapy and the coordinator of all the branches of AIOTA. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first PhD holder in occupational therapy.
With a prolific publication record, he has authored 5 books and contributed 50 articles to national and international journals. Dr. Dwivedi is a certified professional, having completed a certificate course from the Geriatric Society of India; and another WHO-guided ISWP courses at basic level, intermediate level, Maneger level, and training for trainer course.
His leadership has been instrumental in guiding 17 individuals through PhD programs in occupational therapy. Dr. Dwivedi has presented papers and seminars on both national and international platforms, further showcasing his expertise. Additionally, he served as the Associate Scientific Chairman in OTICON, the Annual National Conference of AIOTA, in 2019 at PGI Chandigarh, Scientific Chairman at KEM, Mumbai in 2020 and the same role at Saveetha University, CHENNAI in 2023.
Having represented WFOT in stakeholder meetings and serving as AIOTA EC member for 8 years, Dr. Dwivedi's influence extends to various academic institutions where he acts as an external examiner such as at MUHS, Maharashtra Goa university, NIMS university jaipur , Patel university Rajasthan and Devi ahilya university Madhya Pradesh.
