Blue June

Author Name: John Dominic Nazareth | Format: Paperback | Genre : Poetry | Other Details

John Nazareth's Blue June is a collection of poems that reflect a keen attention to the natural world. In lines that ring with rhyme, these poems explore a deep faith and call us toward the sacred. It's a gift to encounter John's poems, and it's an honor to have such talent in my family.

- Nina Boals, MFA candidate in poetry Indiana

John is my teenage friend. I was delighted going through his collection of poems. I recalled his love for rhyming poems. Although some poems are abstract his love for music and rhyme is woven into his poem with literary skills. I truly recommend this book for all to read and enjoy.

- Fabian Delphin Simmons, Retired Director Corporate Bangalore

Going through John's repertoire of poems gives me immense joy as it wonderfully reflects his deep rooted faith in God and the personal relationship he shares with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I have known him personally for many years and I thank God our loving Father for holding him and giving him the grit, the determination and the encouragement to press in and be all that God has desired him to be. This book will truly be an inspiration and a blessing for everyone who reads it.

John Dominic Nazareth

John, my youngest brother, showed a gift for language early on, reading newspaper headlines and learning new words at the age of  four. His love for storytelling, caricature, and running a small children’s library at home reflected his creativity. An active sports player, he organized neighborhood tournaments in cricket, hockey, and football.

Though recognized as a poet in school, his handwriting posed challenges due to an undiagnosed fine motor disability. This hindered his academics, despite a high IQ and talent in humanities. Lacking a scribe in the examination, he faced academic setbacks and missed career opportunities in social sciences and literature. His struggle with mood swings began in college, but he found comfort in music, literature, and spirituality.

Years later, he attended rehabilitation, where he learned to embrace his abilities, focusing on poetry and kindness. He volunteered to teach English and served his community with a generous spirit. Inspired by faith and resilience, John’s journey is a testament to overcoming adversity and living with purpose.
