Sunil has over 36 years’ experience in banking in Corporate Banking, Core Banking System, Branch Management, Banking Operations, Operations Risk & Fraud Control, Rehabilitation & Recovery, and Branch Expansion.
Sunil was in IDBI Bank as VP, Head of Branch Operations, overseeing operations over 500 branches. Earlier, he was VP in ICICI Bank and Chief Manager in Bank of India. Sunil headed the first branch of ICICI Bank as well as IDBI Bank in New Delhi. He co-headed the CBS Project in IDBI Bank. Later, he worked in an Investment Management Company as Director and CEO.
Sunil is B.Com., C.A.I.I.B and a rank holder of Delhi University. He is a Visiting Faculty/Guest Speaker at prominent management institutes. Sunil is now a freelance Consultant engaged in training, education and banking, and finance projects. Consultancy projects include (a) Sr. Advisor with Deloitte Consulting in the project for setting up India Post Payments Bank (b) Consultant with a German development organization in its Kisan Credit Card Project of NABARD for Co-operative banks. He authored Reference Guide for on-boarding Kisan Credit Card and the Handbook on Mobile Banking (c) Financial Planning Project of an AMC of a Mutual Fund (d) Manual on Business Process of Banking for a leading BFSI Software Company (e) Enterprise Risk Assessment Study for a Dubai based Bank & (f) Financial modeling of a European Union project for a prominent infrastructure consultancy company.
