Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalIt is a great privilege to be involved in the vineyard of our Lord as missionary. The journey has been exciting and thrilling. It is also amazing to hear stories all around the great nation of India, how God is leading His Church to move forward in missions, redeeming and reconciling new people every day. God opened up opportunities to speak to God’s people, motivating and mobilizing them to be involved in missions. It was mostly in Church retreats or mission camps. Some times, doors were open to present papers to missiologists and scholars or write in some magazines.
Since, there are very few books written by Indian authors on missions, I ventured out to write the third of the series of the books: “Christ and Transformational Missions”; following “Christ and Cities” (2005) and “Christ and Missional Leaders” (2007). Few more books in this series are in the pipe line: “Christ and Post-Modern Youth”, “Christ and Families”, “Christ and Local Churches” and “Christ and Society”.
Mission is transformation in nature and essence. The gospel bears fruit, wherever it is preached. God is sending out his labourers to toil in the nook and corner of this world. The gospel has transformed individuals drastically, decisively and radically and they in turn transform their own contexts. This results in the transformation of society, where values, attitudes, aspirations, behaviour and relationships are upgraded for good. Christians as salt and light are agents of transformation.
