Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalDeath is easy but the road is long
Broken yet beautiful like a sad song
An endeavour to create a masterpiece in the poetic domain; Eli presents ingenuity and flair at their best in this anthology. This is a homage to classical rhyming poetry highly influenced by his unique style.
The poet who describes himself as "a meliorist" embraces life with all its challenges. He lays out in the open all of his inner demons and tales of his darkest days. In these pages, there is a message for generations to come. The poetry ruminates on true freedom and ordeals to achieve it; taking inspiration from his ideals. The poems are written in a very personal tone to drag the readers or listeners deep down into an emphatic experience. If you want to believe that agonies, struggles and brokenness we share have a purpose, Eli Bahisht is someone you should read.
(To the departed who changed us on their way out.)
Not just broken; I’m lost too
Like in desert a drop of dew
On dead rose with black hue
Like- a lyric you once knew
Eli Bahisht
Eli Bahisht is a modern poet fascinated by classical rhyming poetry. He is a science graduate in Biotechnology and is currently pursuing his Masters in Medical Biochemistry. He took the craft of writing at a tender age.
Rhyming and lyrical poetry is Eli’s forte. He approaches a lot of different subjects through his unique style. He writes on themes such as virtues, love, ambitions, society, faith, death, socio-politics and psychology. He also likes to experiment with his verses; constantly trying to bring something new and different in his writings.
‘Desderium’ is the most recognized work of Eli. He also writes in Hindi (& Urdu), which is his mother-tongue. Ironically, he became an English poet born in the Hindi heartland. Apart from that, he is an avid traveller, a lover of languages, and a wizard of words.
