Ashrafi Antia graduated as a double gold Medallist with a B.Sc. degree in Home-science from Mount Carmel College Bangalore. Her foray into creating children’s stories began when she started making up stories for her daughter. Later, she started writing articles, stories, poems and word games which have been published extensively in the Deccan Herald newspaper’s Open Sesame children’s section and it’s School Edition for over fifteen years. She is the winner of the short story writing contest held by the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce in Bangalore in December 2020.Animal stories are her forte. Extremely fond of children, she has experience working with them at the nursery school level and enjoys teaching and telling them her stories. She has written over a hundred and fifty fictional short stories for kids. Her stories appeal to both youngsters and adults whose positive feedback motivated her to put together this compilation of bird stories.
