He has written extensively on topics of popular science in addition to novels, short stories, drama and satire in Maithili, having published fifteen books in Maithili. He received several awards as well. In English his works consist of “Bhartis’Cat”, a translation of Maithili novel ‘Bhartik Biladi’ by Braj Kishor Varma ‘Manipadma’, “Folktales of Mithila” and “Gonu Jha of Mithila (Tales of wit and humour)”.
