Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalAn anthology of stories, reminiscing the themes of the 90’s – that last decade of the second millennium CE. A remarkably transformative decade, its children and events' aftermaths are still evolving and being understood. Charmingly narrated, inspired from deep personal experiences and woven around the forgotten art of letter writing. The vivid imagery of the real parental missives across the chapters will take you down a memory lane of humorous nostalgia, high on emotional adventures. While the themes belong to the Boys and Girls of that era, who get to look back at their lives and seek meaning – every reader will delight from the eternal message of belonging and the enduring power of family love!
Chandramoulee Palani
I pursued my Chemical Engineering at AC Tech, Anna University, Chennai and then my MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Earlier, I high-schooled at St.Joseph’s, Cuddalore, with the primary years spent at St.Mary’s, Cuddalore. For the last year or so, I have been living with my family in the beautiful city with a magnificent heart, Chennai - not far from the famous Vadapalani temple in the South India’s original tinsel town, Kodambakkam aka Kollywood.
After more than two decades, I switched out of my banking career earlier in 2022, to try and pursue a variety of more gratifying vocations and interests. So, when I am not golfing or running or playing some sport or other, I try to be a Visiting Professor, Corporate Trainer & Management Consultant – in that pecking order. And if there is some time still left in that day, which it often is, I closely track the numerous soap operas across the various Tamil channels and also actively contribute/forward in my various WhatsApp groups, representing different aspects of a same few topics, changing sides often, just to keep the fun & frolic going!
This is my first publication and as of now, I’ve no grand plans to do more anyway. While I’ve penned a few columns in the past, with only these so far, I don’t think I yet qualify to be classified in the league of authors. So, I’ll say I am a writer. And to start writing, where else to look for the best inspiration, nothing except the best, yourself! And I am glad I did this book. If I had not become the writer I did by now, I would’ve done script writing in Kollywood or Stand-up comedy at the Alliance Française of Madras’ auditorium!
