Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalI am Reon is a novelette that walks the reader through children’s world. Reon’s childhood experiences unfold parallel to those of two other children and it is fascinating how differently each one of them tries to grapple with and negotiate the world that he or she is faced with. Each child’s world within the world of its parents and other adults gets unfolded layer by layer. Childhood being the best part of one’s /human life do adults have the right to deprive children of its essence is a strong question that bothers and brews in the mind of an adult reader. The novel raises many questions, suggests many answers and leaves many grey areas ( for the reader to explore for himself or herself). The reader cannot escape the imperative of being introspective.
