Prof Virendra Grover, born Jan 7, 1947, had his education B Tech (1971) and M Tech (1973) from IIT-Kanpur.
Started career with SAIL, Alloy Steels Plant, Durgapur (W B) in 1974, followed by Modi Steels, NISST and UNDP/GEF Project, Ministry of Steel, Govt of India.
With primary interest in Training, career culminated with position of Chief Engineer (HRD & Knowledge Management) at KORUS, a Consultancy Company for the steel industry.
Had a short stint as Prof and HoD (Training) in Engineering College (2010 to 2012), where he was responsible for industry interaction, entrepreneurship, and career guidance. Besides popular articles, he has written two books on career, Dream IIT and Ek Naya Virus Karodpati Engineer (Hindi)
Keen observer of the news connected with Smart City, Road Safety, Waste Recycling and Air Quality Management etc. he feels, there is vast scope for Startups, where social service is linked with the business opportunity.
