Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThe book contains vauable information as far as Impact behaviour of 316L steel welds are concerned. Its useful for stell industry practitioners and academicians. The steel having more than 11.5 % chromium added to iron those steels are known as stainless steel. In this fine layer of chromium oxide formed spontaneously on the surface of steel which is exposed to air, this layer act as a barrier to further rusting, oxidation or corrosion. In stainless steel 316, the molybdenum which is present in it plays a major role in weldability. Grade 316 L is the advanced grade of 316 grades where L stands for low carbon. This advanced grade is immune of sensitization which is generally known as grain boundary carbide precipitation. This grade 316L provides good toughness, surface finish at both room and cold work temperature. This Book is about the influence of sensitization on the impact behavior and on microstructure of AISI stainless steel 316L
