Dr. Malabika Mitra

Malabika Mitra, is a former English newsreader with Doordarshan and went on to head corporate communications in Chennai. An alumna of National University of Singapore (NUS), she after a brief hiatus pursued a doctoral degree on a very feminist topic. She is passionate about literature, culture, history and women's issues and have freelanced for more than a decade on these topics.

She has co-authored two books on the Bodo tribes, of the Brahmaputra valley of Assam and her
other three books are in English literary criticism, that helps to guide students at graduation level. Her spare time is best spent in the company of books and in culinary pursuits. She has travelled extensively in India and abroad and loves to discover and explore whenever she can.

She lives in Chennai with her husband and daughter and fond memories of dearest Miko, now in heaven.
