Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh Pal I am ancient,
Carrying the burden of women
Thousands of years old
Bound by all those stale rules and dead traditions
That have chained them then,
And holds me down now.
(The Story of Us)
These poems are an interesting take (or retake) on emotions and experiences, as Malabika Mitra, with uncanny modernity and defiance delves into society and societal expectations, love, gender and a myriad other things, that we accept so unquestioningly...
She has discovered her demon, but does she find her peace...
