‘June and August’ is the debut narrative by Jay Dev.
Written in two different perspectives of girl and boy, ‘June and August’ is a story of a BTech student from IIT-Bombay Aarush, who thinks he is in love with Sharleez, a hijabi Girl from Kashmir who is pursuing Masters in Psychology from prestigious St. Xavier’s. The book is a coming of age story about dreams and love set against the backdrop of the beautiful city of Mumbai.

An avid reader since childhood, the ability to shape one’s thoughts had inspired him to write his first fiction book at the age of 12. His mastery over words graced by uncanny sense of humor helps him get through many a deadly situation, be it baffling professors with creative answers, negotiating with clients or simply convincing people that his stories have nothing to do with the author’s personal life! From performing at open mics, to running businesses during college life, he
has always been a storyteller at heart.
As young writer and entrepreneur, Jay is enriching people’s lives by contributing to the best of his abilities. His inclination towards the understanding of human emotions and his passion for words have led him to found a company named ‘Muntazir’, which provides personalized handwritten letter service to the public, with an aim to revive the long-lost art. When not writing, you can find him either reading, coding or travelling. People and places excite him. He has a burning fire within him to acquire knowledge and explore all that is to be known in this world. He never misses a chance to interact with people, for, after all, each one of us is a story, waiting to be told and thus you will find him in book fairs,
doing stand-up acts, hosting events etc. Since life is limited and one cannot live forever, he hopes to leave his remains in his books.
