Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalLajwanti is a love story of a rustic lass of 19th century British-India, victimised by the then zamindari system. As the story goes, she is considered ill-ominous and is thus bartered like a cattle to an inhumane half-haggard zamindar. The zamindar treats her like a machine to produce a male heir for his estate. She undergoes hellish torture, brutal nuptial molestations in that house, until one day when Fate takes mercy on her and brings in Mohan in her life. She tastes freedom and love for the first time. Their love takes roots, she begins to see light through knowledge but misfortunes and doom did not leave her totally. She loses Mohan. Though the loss was unfathomable but streak of hope never never fails. She fights her circumstances only to make the dream of her lost love come true... At this juncture a miracle happens, proving when Love supersedes weakness, every dream can become a reality!
