Dr. M Kanika Priya
Dr. M. Kanika Priya has earned her M.A., M.Phil., in English from Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for Post Graduate Studies, affiliated to Pondicherry University. Her work on Shashi Deshpande won her a first class and a Gold Medal. She has completed her Ph. D in English from Pondicherry Institute of Linguistics and Culture affiliated to Tamil University, Tanjur. She also possesses an M.A., in Linguistics from Annamalai University and also perusing PGCTE at EFLU, Hyderabad.
Her fields of specialization are Linguistics, Stylistics, Literature, Mass Communication, in English and Tamil. She has presented more than 100 research papers both in English and Tamil and published more than 50 papers with ISBN Number. She also Published more than 30 papers in recognized journals with ISSN number. The present book is the collection of her research articles which are slightly altered from the previous versions of presentations at National and International Seminars and Conference.
Has published two Books, entitled “The Feminine and the Familial A Foray into the Fictional World of Shashi Deshpande” on 2019 which was electronically published by Smashwords, Inc. United States of America, and also brought into print by Pothi Publishers.
She has won more than 35 prestigious awards. Her poems have featured no less than five times in Kovai Vasantha Vasal and Namaste India magazine proving her unrivalled passion and enthusiasm for the endless gifts of the poetic muse. She has won first prize with cash award of rupees 3,000 in Poem competition conducted by Puducherry Government on June 8th 2021. She has attended more than 500 FDP’s, Seminars and Webinars during Covid-19.
She has organized one Online workshop and One International Conference in this Corona Period. Currently she has been appointed as International Youth Summit (IYS) Deputy Country Coordinator of WSDA (Workplace Skills Development Academy) – SUF – TUF Events at New Zealand on May 1, 2021. Had been a Volunteer and also as Head of Volunteers to promote the online events and spread awareness in the Mindselo Virtual 3-Day Volunteership program on May 20-22. 2021. At Present she is having 4 years of experience, and have been called for Resource person at various colleges.
