When I was much younger, I had always wanted to see my name on a book cover. That had been my dream then. I am not much older now either. I’m 14 now. Back in 2020, I would read books to escape the real world. I would live in the world contained within the pages of the book for some time. That brought me immense joy and then I thought, why not bring joy to others as well? So, I started writing this book the same year. My imagination ran wild and free and each chapter unravelled, connecting seamlessly. I put it all into words and I’m satisfied with the outcome.
I’ve made a few changes here and there but this story is a reflection of my life and the times I’ve spent in my hometown surrounded by very loving people. The great bond with my grandparents is something to be treasured. This book is the outcome of my beautiful parents. My mother was the binding energy who listened patiently to all the tales I spun, sitting next to her. My love for reading started with my father, who showed me how to pronounce every word, making it all the more enjoyable. A big thank you to Nandu for being the first to read and review my story. My gratitude to the LEAP Boundary Breakers music project for making my vision of the illustration come true and to their artist duo "Srini-Venni" for making my cover page colourful. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I did while writing it.
