Varuna Pathak

Dr. Varuna Pathak was born and raised in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, the youngest of three siblings. Excelling academically at St. Patrick’s Junior College, she topped the Agra Division ICSE tenth board examination. Her dedication led her to Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra, where she completed her MBBS with honors, earning a gold medal for her achievements. She further specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, securing her master’s in 2002 along with the prestigious Nawal Kishore Gold Medal. In 2001, Dr. Varuna married Dr. Sudeep Pathak and relocated to Bhopal. She began her teaching career at Gandhi Medical College as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was promoted to Professor by 2018. After a successful tenure at Gandhi Medical College, she took on the role of Professor and Head of the Department at a private medical college in Bhopal in 2021.

Dr. Varuna’s passion extends beyond academia into significant social service and public health advocacy. She has served in key roles within the Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, including as Secretary and Vice President, and is the current Chair of the Women’s Wing of the Indian Medical Association, Bhopal Branch. Her commitment to community service has garnered her numerous accolades.
