Dr. Sonia Gupta is a poet, writer, author, reviewer, editor and translator. She hails from Dera Bassi, Mohali, Punjab, India. She writes in English, Hindi & Punjabi languages. She has authored 21 independent books, of which 11 are in English and 10 are in Hindi. Her write-ups are published in many anthologies, newspapers, journals and magazines. She has edited several poems, articles, papers and anthologies and has translated many poems composed by different poets from the world into English, Hindi and Punjabi languages. She also publishes an online monthly Hindi literary magazine ‘ BHAV GAGAR’ and an English ezine ' CANVAS OF THOUGHTS' . She is also fond of painting, singing, dancing, knitting, embroidery, cooking, teaching and reading. Her paintings have been displayed on the cover pages of many magazines. Even she has painted the cove pages of her two independent poetry books herself. By profession, she is a Dentist (MDS) with a major speciality in Oral Pathology and currently, she is working as an associate professor at a dental college, nearby her city. She has got several scientific publications in international and national journals. She has received numerous accolades in literature as well as her profession. Her many projects are underway.
