Pain So Utter A Dickinson inspired Collection of Poems

Author Name: Nilanjana Das Barman | Format: Paperback | Genre : Poetry | Other Details

There is a pain — so utter —
It swallows substance up —
Then covers the Abyss with Trance —
So Memory can step
Around — across — opon it —
As One within a Swoon —
Goes safely — where an open eye —
Would drop Him — Bone by Bone —

-Emily Dickinson

Emily Dickinson is often considered one of the pioneers of modern poetry along with Walt Whitman. Pain so utter is a tribute to her contribution to the world of poetry.
