Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalPaper Boats is an experiment that challenges past and contemporary critical, epistemological, ideological and narrative approaches of storytelling for children by a group of graduate students and their facilitator. This collection of short stories intends to help young readers and parents join dots to recreate their own life and experiences and make meaning out of it. There are stories both familiar and remote; some help to make new friends, and some reunite you with the old on the memory lane. These are not fairy tales, but a delightful kaleidoscope of reality blended with perspective. Explore, Discover and Recollect the joys and perils of growing up and finding yourself!
Dr Anupama Nayar C.V is a Faculty at the Department of English, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bangalore. She has a 14-year-old at home with his own take on what he plays, reads, watches, eats, chats and ‘wants to be’ in life and a group of highly energetic, high-intellect, young adults in the class who also know what exactly they ‘need in life,’ making her a lifelong learner of the reified mindscape of the 21st-century students. These youngsters instil in her an academic interest in the way they shape and approach their VUCA world with radical contestations and endless questions. Unwittingly but happily, she becomes part of their world, trying to understand it for them and from them. She is on a journey of self-discovery to become a better version of herself in the various roles she plays in life.
