Shaista is a weaver of words, creating a tapestry of poetry. A free spirit, she believes in answering to every call that excites her. Born to parents with refined aesthetics, she was introduced to poetry, literature, music and spirituality in the early years of her life.
Passionate about Maulana Rumi and Sufism, she embarked on this journey of self-awareness, seeking the source of life. On the way, she fell in love with his creation too. Given a chance to think for herself and discover life, she broke all stereotypes. Having the desire to love, live and to freely wander beyond the boundaries of right and wrong, she found her calling.
She says that her poetry is a bridge between the creator and his creation and all that lies between. Her poetry made her open her heart to soak in all the chaos, pain and passion that life had to offer. Diving into the ocean, without knowing how to swim and believing she will reach the shore, excites her.
Her husband is the wind beneath her wings, giving her a beautiful space where she could fulfill her desire to search for the meaning of life. A mother to two children, she spends her time with her family and learning the sublime art of living.
