The topic ‘Judiciary and Human Rights’ has such a wide scope that it is hardly possible to focus on all the aspects within one book. Therefore, the author has decided to narrow it down to the most basic aspect where the arms of the judiciary affect human rights the most- prison administration. The present book is an attempt to look into the rights of prisoners or rather humans behind the bars and the obvious overlooking of this ‘human’ factor when it comes to the treatment met out to them. The aim of this book is to look into what the Supreme Court has so far done, and suggest areas where the Supreme Court should help.
