Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalRiver of Emotions is a collection of Fifty poems written over a period of near two years, from 2017 to 2019. They trace the journey through heartbreak, recovery, growth and healing. The journey is traced in an inverse chronological fashion to draw the reader into the depths of the emotions which have allowed the poet the state of reality.
Poetry is distinctive from creative writing. Undoubtedly they share the same components of allegory and metaphor. However, poetry supersedes the boundaries of creative writing. Poetry can and is invariably taken out of context and made applicable to situations beyond its conception. These are no different in this regards than those of antiquity. Poetry has little geographical, temporal or cultural limitations.
The current volume is divided into six distinctive themes: On Society; On Emotions; On Morality; On Moments; On Inevitability; On Finality.
