Digital rights management (DRM) is a collection of technologies that provide content creators control and protection over their digital assets, institutional repositories are digital collections that contain the intellectual output of an institution, and national initiatives are actions taken by a government or nation to achieve a specific goal or solve a particular problem. Digital library software is used by libraries, archives, museums, and other organizations to manage and provide access to their digital collections. DSpace is an open-source software platform that provides metadata management, version control, access control, content discovery and search, usage statistics, and support for various formats and standards. He is a Professor and Chief Librarian at the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai. He has considerable experience as a team leader promoting open-source software at several institutions and colleges, including learning management systems, virtual learning systems, integrated library automation, and digital libraries. His research interests include education, digital libraries, and e-learning. He has published a few books in the field, and more than 50 of his research articles have been published in national and international Journals such as Scopus & WoS. He often presents conference papers to further his professional growth as a Librarian. He keeps updating new technology and provides users with timely information services.
