He is a Professor and Chief Librarian at the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai. He has considerable experience as a team leader promoting open-source software at several institutions and colleges, including learning management systems, virtual learning systems, integrated library automation, and digital libraries. His research interests include education, digital libraries, and e-learning. He has published a few books in the field, and more than 50 of his research articles have been published in national and international Journals such as Scopus & WoS.
