Born in 1982 to Mangala and Subramani he did his schooling at Bangalore. He later started his engineering course at the UVCE Bangalore in the stream of electrical and Electronics Engineering in the year 2000 and passed out in the year 2004. He later started his professional career as a Software Engineer at Infosys Bangalore in the stream of multimedia and infotainment. He is married to his childhood friend Divya KR and has a four year old son Pratham.
Shankar's hobbies include teaching, photography, singing reading and writing. He loves to watch cricket and formula 1 sport. He is recently involved himself in reading and understanding different aspects of Ramayana and Mahabharata epics. He is a volunteer in an NGO and is involved in teaching primary school students on weekends. Sambhavami Yuge Yuge is his first effort in writing a complete book and his first step in realizing his dream of being known as an author.
