Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalShaswati is a very innocent girl who studies in a residential girls’ school. Influenced by the other girls who share their flings with boys, she returns home for the holidays.
She meets Karan, a regular customer at their family run hotel. Although he is twice her age, she gets attracted and an intoxicated encounter leads to them making love. Karan regrets it, while Shaswati expresses only contentment.
Manayata is a journalist who is about the same age as Karan and stays at the same hotel. She objects to Shaswati’s parleys with him. When she learns that Karan is a total gentleman, she falls in love with him.
When Karan returns to his hometown, he receives a message that a girl in the hotel had committed suicide because he did not respond to her communication. Saddened, he rushes back to the hotel thinking it was Shaswati who did it. He then realizes it was Manyata, whom he neither accepted nor refused, but who thought he was in love with her.
