The Author, a born teacher hailing from a family dedicated to the teaching profession, is a lover of learning as well as teaching. As a student, he was a teacher’s favorite and as a teacher, he was students’ favorite.
Known for his enlightened teaching competence, he was an asset to the government school where he worked. An ideal teacher with a deep devotion to duty, he strove for two-fold aims- promotion of academic excellence and development of character.
After retirement, he taught at Vivekananda Institute, Chennai and authored guidebooks and grammar workbooks for standards VI to X under Samacheer Kalvi syllabus.
Nurtured in a religious way of life, he inherited piety from his parents and chanted Thirumurai songs. Now brimming with spiritual longings, he got an inspiration to write devotional songs on Lord Shiva. This book is a collection of his songs.
