Written with a unique point of view, the collection includes ‘Uprooted’ - A plight of a slum dweller displaced due to a natural calamity and ’Slow’ describes what a child’s struggles with a learning disability. Variety of issues, ranging from trauma, phobias, self-harms addictions to lack of mental healthcare facilities are covered in this collection of poetry.
Gautami Shankar
Gautami Shankar is the author of Love in the pink city. She did her Bachelors in History and is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. A member of SWA, Gautami occasionally dabbles with screenplay writing as well.
Having studied psychology as a part of her college course, Gautami is empathetic about raising awareness against the stigma associated with mental health. She often uses social media platforms for her cause.
She lives in Mumbai and can be found working on her next book.
