Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhy is it always the beautiful princess who is locked away in a tower? And why does she wait ever so patiently for a knight in shining armour to save her?
Tara, however, is no ‘damsel in distress’. She lives in a small village in South India and is a talented toymaker. She is also the first teenaged entrepreneur from her neighbourhood and runs a popular shop all on her own. Tara now aspires to be a knight in shining armour (figuratively speaking, she does not actually own an armour) and wants to rescue the Prince of Mysuru, who is trapped in a mysterious white tower.
Follow Tara on a journey featuring mischievous ghosts, smart animals and a scary yaksha and find out if she is successful in Tara and the Quest for the Cursed Prince.
Sharika Nair
Sharika Nair has been writing in some form or the other ever since she learnt to write. She has contributed to the content requirements of various organisations over the last decade. She wrote feature stories on entrepreneurs and women achievers from various fields during her three-year stint with digital media platform YourStory. Sharika then felt it was time for her to return to her first love – fiction. She won third prize in Deccan Herald’s short story competition in 2018 for her story ‘The Silver Anklet’. Sharika wanted her first book to be the kind she herself enjoyed during her childhood, featuring magic and mystery, humour and emotional catharsis. She was also tired of stories where beautiful girls do nothing but wait for a prince to rescue them, and conceived a character who would do some rescuing of her own. Sharika lives in Bangalore with her husband, daughter and son.
