For centuries, fairy tales and folk lore have fascinated people of all ages. Elements of magic, wonder and the presence of extra-natural beings have added to their charm. But there remain some issues that need to be addressed. This work aims to examine the issues pertaining to gender, violence and superstitious beliefs that abound in the fairy tales.

His research interests include Classical literature, Modern Poetry and Absurd Drama. His specialization is American literature. An avid scholar of mythology and folklore, he has studied the Indian, Greek, Roman and Norse myths. He is deeply interested in various cultures, extensively exploring the history and the manner in which it has shaped different cultures.
