Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThe planet and dimension of Brimeturn was ruled by three superior governances who governed people based on religion and two rival empires who governed people based on territory. The Mythgrove Empire and The Fresca Empire have had a silent rivalry ever since the night the sun fell, maybe even before. Forced into becoming everything her dear brother tried protecting her from, over a quintet of books, grand princess Rio Richardson and her acquaintances bend the system to bring justice for the loved ones they’ve lost and for a better future; a future in which there is a sun. The land had been cursed by goddesses to never see the sun again. Hunting the sunlight, who will be left at the end to witness a sunset? Will they all make it out of the quest alive? Can a bunch of children really throw over three governances and two whole empires?

The inspiration for the story came from the will to achieve something that would stay with me forever. I didn’t view achievements as something just for me but as a brand to my name. What started as something I’d just put out there to get the title ‘published author’, blossomed into something greater without my knowledge. I slowly fell in love with being able to control the story and crafting and navigating the perfect plot. Writing, for me, lies somewhere within the spectrum of torture and bliss.
the idea for this plot was originally different, I wished to make this story a standalone book. but the complexity and twists and turns I loved in other books, I had the chance to put in here, in my own book. There isn’t any great story behind this. I am after all just 15 and haven’t yet lived a life to tell. The idea of the sun being cursed and away came with my love for solitude; the general fondness of any introvert. I’ve had clashes with my parents and loved ones that I’m always on the laptop and rarely get any social interaction. And I’m perfectly fine with that as when I’m alone, I’m not confined to earth. I’m either in the world of another author, or in my own.
What started as a childish obsession with the ‘diary of a wimpy kid’ turned into something I never would have guessed could have happened. There's not much I can talk about other than my love for writing, as aforementioned, I haven’t lived a life yet and the world is just there for me to explore. And who knows, once I’m older, maybe they would invent time travel and I’d get to meet the legendary historical figure, ‘Mary Stuart, queen of Scots’. Her intriguing love and legacy was a partial inspiration for the design of the character ‘Rio Richardson’ or ‘Shaye Seastone’.
