Lovelina Singh

Dr. Lovelina Singh is a professor at the Department of English and Cultural Studies, Panjab University in Chandigarh. She graduated from Sacred Heart College, in Dalhousie. Lovelina has a deep and enduring interest in Jewish American literature and her doctoral thesis in this field received acclaim.

Lovelina was awarded the prestigious Bernard and Audre Fellowship in 1988. She was also awarded a UGC Major Research Project grant in 2008. This gave a great deal of impetus to her research and serves as testimony to her vigorous literary commitment. She has published numerous articles in academic journals and has also published a critical edition of Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice.
