Dr.Vijayalakshmi Aluri is an Ob./Gy. Specialist, practicing in private set up since fifty years. She served thousands of women belonging to three generations and as friend, philosopher and guide to these women, has the fortune of fond bond with them. As such, she has the most valuable opportunity of having first hand information of the lives of women with their struggles, pains and vulnerabilities and also the successes of strong and emancipated women. As an avid reader of literature, she developed a passion to write and had been writing since 58 years. Her personal and professional life had been profoundly influenced by literature to transform to be more humane.
She strongly believes that the literature has the power of influencing the people positively or negatively, hence, she affirms that the author should write anything with a social responsibility and should ascertain before writing whether her/his piece of work is promoting the good or the bad in the society.
