Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThe long-stemmed yellow roses in the old bungalow’s lawn were very peculiar, they always attracted the kids more than the bees. Sara was curious to go there and pluck them. One incident changed her world upside down. Yellow was out of her pallet of rainbow.
What could it be?
No one in her family has forgotten that night. Like a storm that withered the spring-bloom fresh roses, taking away the yellow color and leaving behind the thorn and the lifeless stems. She is now even scared of her own shadow and her brother with whom she used to bond so well, she has completely forgotten his identity.
When people say you have a brother, she says no I don’t have one.
There’s only one belief he has, time will heal the reminiscence of the past and bring back the cheerful girl again.
And one day she will start loving the yellow bright sunny day like it was earlier and the shades of those yellow roses will fade away gradually from her memory.
