She has worked with premier industry organisations and economic research institutes. She has also been the recipient of a prestigious Presidential Award (First Prize) for a paper on South Asia, among participants from SAARC countries. Originally from Kolkata, an alumnus of Presidency College and Calcutta University, the writer has lived for a long time in Delhi and Gurgaon and is now based in Mumbai. An avid music lover, she is trained in Rabindra Sangeet and Hindustani classical music and also has a Rabindra Sangeet music album to her credit.
