Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThis book takes you on a mysterious voyage through legends of love, the magic of nature and unquestionable patriotism while diving deep into the dark abyss of human emotions. It will accompany you on quiet strolls under streetlights or help you introspect while stuck in snarling traffic jams, thereby easing your plight.
Your eyes won’t be able to miss the magic of cosmic delights, and your heart won’t forget the gentle caress of divine miracles. These poems will make your soul want to cry, laugh and do the lindy hop dance all at once. The world will look fresh to your eyes—a soothing sight indeed. You will fall in love with the world once again, like the time you were five when discovery and curiosity were the main mottos of your life.
Our odyssey starts here!
Our journey started that spring night,
When I woke up crying with fright.
The heart-wrenching stories that made us think
About the unflinching sacrifices made to keep her from being weak.
She failed to keep her vigilance and stepped out of her armour,
At once, the world pounced on her.
So let’s begin…
Saanya Verdia
Saanya Verdia, a student enjoying her last year at Amity International School, Noida combines her interest in psychology, English and history with a deep-rooted passion for nature through this collection of beautiful poems.
Saanya’s curiosity in history initiated her association with Itihaas, a society focused on India’s traditions and heritage. Her interest in psychology and literature influenced her to become a member of the Barry John Theatre Group.
She has acted in two documentary films: Drop by Drop produced by TERI for the German Development Corporation, which was nominated for the Vatavaran Awards in 2014, and Kabadiwaala, a film on the importance of scrap dealers. She also volunteers her time to teach underprivileged children at an NGO called Bachpan - An Initiative.
Through this book, Saanya aims to make her readers fall in love with life and begin identifying and appreciating the little bursts of happiness they can get from it.
