Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalBirds have roamed the skies for millennia. I have always been fascinated by them: their unique attributes, their freedom & their flight, continue to amaze me endlessly.
However, the sad fact is that they are perishing at an alarming rate. Unless timely & comprehensive actions are taken, the future generations will be deprived of one of the most wonderful creations in nature. Also, their extinction will have alarming repercussions on the already delicate balance of nature.
In this book, I have shared basic information about 170 birds of India, their IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) red list status and the categories, along with the reasons of their extinction, proactive measures needed to protect them and important terms related to birds.
I sincerely hope that this book will help increase awareness about the unique birds, their contribution to nature and the simple steps which can go a long way towards ensuring their survival.
