“Words I write are the things I wish to say,
I pour my heart on pages
Using my feelings as the ink
And emotions to stroke the letters.
My agony are the syllables,
And ecstasy are the sentences.
And when I look at it altogether,
I see an abstract manifestation
Of mind of mine.”
These are the words of an 18-year-old debut writer, Unnatii Duggal who believes that words have the power to manifest as well as destroy things in life. Her work consists of pure sentiments curved into simple words and she often writes from other’s perspectives. Some of her works have been published in two anthologies and on various social media platforms. She is the co-author and editor of ‘Never the Same’, an anthology covering experiences of differently-abled people. She started writing at the age of 12 and haven’t stopped since. As her writing experience matured and her work reached thousands of people through social media, her dream of publishing a book as the sole author came through.
