Frederick Lyle Morris

I began my career in 1963, a very young age, encouraged by an art teacher to explore nature and put it on paper. The reward from that advice was the sale of “The Hanging Tree” in 1967, the trill of my first art sale was beyond the financial reward, it gave me a path to want more, to explore more and to test myself, to allow myself the freedom of expression. I won the Grumbacher Gold Medal in 1996, South Oakland, MI awarded by the Grambacher Arts Co, the Grumbacher Silver Medal in 1995, The Commanders Award in Art, 1993, 1996, 1999, Dept Defense, Warren MI, and I’ve been listed in art books which can be found on Amazon, and I am happy to have had my art in Art In America Magazine in 1998 and New Art International published by Book Art Press. I was the featured artist at the Swann Gallery 1993,95,99, Detroit MI, and Solo art exhibit throughout Europe, Paris, and Frankfurt to name a few, Japan and Korea, New York and the Mid-South Art Gallery.
