Asha Iyer began her writing carreer as a short story writer and is still pursuing it. She usually takes up a social, emotional or psychological issue, mostly related to women and children and weaves her stories around that. Recently, she tried writing a novel, A Simple Love Story, which has been published by Notion Press. She believes in true love and wants everyone to experience it. Although her novels carry a love story, she contrives to draw the attention of the readers to various problems faced by the characters during the different phases of their life.
This is her second novel. She has published around 80 stories in Hindi in various magazines and newspapers, a collection of thirteen stories, a book on teaching Hindi, a novel in English and a collection of her experiences with students, Chadhati Belen.
