Suddeny Amit, the hero of Rabindranath Tagore’s 'The last poem’ feels an urge to visit the spot where he met Lavanya ,twenty five years ago. Amit goes to Shillong. The hill station has changed a lot in twenty five years but the narrow path up the hill where he met Lavanya has remained the same with tall rhododrendon trees with their arrogant crimson flowers. Amit stands silently when he reaches the spot. Someone touches his arm gently, he startles but says
